Keeping Animals

The following policy seeks to:

- Balance the rights of property owners and the rights of others to enjoy their own property free from external impacts of nuisance

- Ensure that animals kept on residential land are not in unhealthy or unsafe conditions and that they are:

  • of an appropriate kind
  • in appropriate numbers and
  • maintained in satisfactory conditions

- Ensure that animals do not cause a nuisance to others
