Keeping Animals
The following policy seeks to:
- Balance the rights of property owners and the rights of others to enjoy their own property free from external impacts of nuisance
- Ensure that animals kept on residential land are not in unhealthy or unsafe conditions and that they are:
- of an appropriate kind
- in appropriate numbers and
- maintained in satisfactory conditions
- Ensure that animals do not cause a nuisance to others

- poultry (chickens, roosters, peafowl, turkey, pheasants, guinea fowl, peacocks, geese)

- livestock (horses, donkeys, cattle)

- pigs
- fish
- bees
- foxes
- ferrets

- mice
