All The Hills Shire Council libraries contain resources that detail the history of the Shire, its suburbs, development and well-known people and families. Castle Hill Library has the most comprehensive collection with smaller holdings at Baulkham Hills, Dural and Rouse Hill.
Local Studies resources include books, reports, local newspapers, pamphlet files, aerial photos, maps and street directories. Many of these items are unique, fragile, often out of print and therefore irreplaceable. As a result they can only be used in the Library.
Local maps, subdivision plans and aerial photos are available to view on touch tables at our Castle Hill Library and Vinegar Hill Memorial Library.
