Support for Businesses affected by Storms and Floods
The Australian and NSW Governments have announced additional funding to support NSW communities and primary industries affected by the February and March 2021 storms and floods to assist them in their next stage of recovery.
The Small Business Commissioner has also prepared the Get Ready Toolkit for business owners dealing with disaster. We encourage you to utilise this resource and better understand how your business can recover and even bounce back better than ever.
Storm and Flood Grants
June and July 2022
Small business and non-for-profit organisations in NSW directly affected by storms and floods in June and July 2022, may be eligible for a storm and flood disaster recovery small business grant.
Disaster recovery grant – up to $50,000 to help pay for the cost of clean-up and reinstatement of operations.
February and March 2022
Small businesses and not-for-profit organisations who are directly impacted by storms and floods in NSW in February and March 2022 may be eligible for the Storm and Flood Disaster Recovery Small Business Grant (February to March 2022) for payments up to $50,000 to help businesses pay for the costs of cleaning up and resuming the business operations.
Disaster recovery grant – up to $50,000 to help pay for the cost of clean-up and resuming operations.
Disaster recovery allowance – a short-term income support payment to assist if you’ve lost income as a direct result of the floods, provided by the Australian Government.
Stamp duty relief – for replacing insured commercial motor vehicles written off due to floods and storms.
Disaster relief loans – concessional interest rate loans up to $130,000 for small businesses and up to $25,000 for not-for-profit organisations.
