With a month of winter still left to go, we have some exciting activities to brighten your days.

From celebrating our quirky platypus friends to warming up in the library with an inspiring author talk, there is plenty in store to help you beat the winter blues.

Discover the charm of the Farm

9am – 2pm Sunday, 3 August 2025

Bella Vista Farm

Experience a day of farm-fresh fun at Bella Vista Farm Open Day. There’s something for everyone—tour the historic homestead, unwind in the beautiful gardens, or treat yourself to a hot cup of Devonshire Tea. Don’t forget to say hello to the resident sheep and make some new woolly friends.

Make a splash this Platypus Month with a range of workshops

Multiple dates and locations

Waddle into wonder and dive into a month of FREE hands-on workshops, fun activities, and fascinating facts as we celebrate one of nature’s quirkiest creatures—the platypus. From bill to tail, get the lowdown on these Aussie icons and discover how you can keep their population thriving.

Branch out and join Bushcare

Multiple dates and locations

Sprout some community spirit and get involved in Bushcare this August. Join the passionate volunteers across The Hills as they roll up their sleeves to remove weeds, care for native plants, and monitor local wildlife. Don’t leaf it to someone else—dig in and help our bushland thrive.
