Subdivision of 1-3 Hill Road, West Pennant Hills

The Hills Shire Council is undertaking infrastructure provisioning work to support the approved subdivision of 1-3 Hill Road, West Pennant Hills (Lot 102, DP 1215573) into 11 residential lots. The proposed residential lots will be created on a largely cleared section of the site, which was associated with its former use.

The site’s major road frontage is to Hill Road on its western boundary, with Colbarra Place to the north and Aiken Road to the south. A large landholding exists to the east, also owned by the Council. This land is zoned C2 Environmental Conservation. It has been created, retained and managed in perpetuity for Environmental Conservation under a Vegetation Management Plan.

The project involves the construction of all necessary infrastructure required to support the development of the land as required under the development consent 1180/2016/ZB for the subdivision of the land into 11 residential lots, including:

  • Installation of environmental, traffic and other safety controls.
  • Removal of vegetation to enable construction work and to provide a bushfire asset protection zones (APZs)
  • Earthworks including minor retaining walls
  • Stormwater work (road drainage modification, overland flow path formation and inter-allotment drainage)
  • Service utility installations (electricity, gas, telecommunications, water supply and wastewater)
  • Kerb, gutter, footpath and pavement widening works along the Hill Road frontage of the site
  • Pavement reconstruction and new concrete dish crossing in Colbarra Place and Rockwall Place

Council has awarded the project to DSA Contracting Pty Ltd. Construction works are scheduled to commence at the end of June 2025 and are expected to continue for approximately 6 months, subject to weather and site conditions.

The works will be carried out with the least possible disruption to traffic. However, delays and inconveniences will be experienced during construction, so please plan your journey.

Work will generally be carried out Monday to Saturday from 7am to 5pm.
