Waste Calendar Photo Competition

The Hills Through Your Lens! Get your photo featured in the 2027 Waste and Recycling Calendar!

Do you have an eye for capturing the beauty of The Hills? Here is your chance to showcase your talent!

Whether you’re a hobbyist or a seasoned pro, young or young-at-heart, this is a fantastic opportunity to have your photograph published in a calendar that is distributed across The Hills Shire.

The theme for the competition is ‘Hills Through Your Lens’. We are excited to see your favourite Hills locations through your camera lens. 

Photographs will be reviewed by a panel of judges, with winning entries showcased in the calendar. There will be a total of 13 photographs selected for the calendar, including 12 for the months and one for the front cover.

All winning entries will receive a prize! Prizes are:

• $100 Coles/ Myer voucher for the front cover
• $50 Coles/ Myer voucher for month feature photographs

Please ensure that prior to submission, your photograph meets the following criteria:

• Must be minimum 300dpi resolution.
• Landscape photograph
• Are either new or existing (taken within the last 2 years)
• Must be taken within The Hills Shire Local Government Area
• Feature natural environment, parks/ sporting fields/ playgrounds or built environment. Please do not feature people/ faces in your photograph.

Limit of two (2) entries per person.

Submissions open Wednesday 1 April 2026 12:00am and close 11:59pm Tuesday 30 June 2026.
