Street Tree Planting

In the interest of beautifying our streets Council will provide trees for the nature strip area. Council will supply and plant the tree(s) which you have selected from the Approved Species List below.

What You Need to Know

Please note that requests for street trees need to come directly from the property owner/s.

Council's Arbor Team will determine the number of trees selected on site.

Consideration will be given to:

  • Placement of services
  • Vehicle sight distances
  • Property width
  • Corner block
  • Potential growth dimensions and
  • Existing street tree theme.

When choosing a tree species consider uniformity to integrate with the treescape.

In some instances, Council has adopted a theme species.
