From stress to strength: the MindLight Story

MindLight helps people and workplaces shift from stress to strength through practical, evidenced based mindfulness and wellbeing programs.

Meet MindLight

Founded by internationally qualified meditation teacher and keynote speaker Katherine Pinczuk, MindLight delivers sessions and keynotes that help people calm their minds, sharpen focus, and rediscover joy - even in the busiest days.

For Katherine, the philosophy ‘“No Mud, No Lotus” is more than a phrase, it’s lived experience.

“From personal loss came the insight that growth often blooms from challenge. I learnt that we have a choice: we can either give up or get up!”

Katherine works with global wellbeing platforms, large organisations and also loves “one-to-one coaching.

What makes them unique

MindLight blends modern mindfulness with storytelling, neuroscience, and humour — making wellbeing relatable and practical.

Katherine’s unique background combining an International Qualification in Meditation, a Masters in Creative Writing and a career spanning small business ownership and the corporate world gives her a depth of understanding clients connect with.

“Mindlight helps people become their own lanterns in the dark."

Defining success

Workplace mental ill health is estimated to cost Australian businesses up to $39 billion each year (New strategy to address psychological risks in the workplace with $5.6m in business assistance | SafeWork NSW) Supporting wellbeing at work is a core part of Katherine’s mission, and she has a strong track record of helping organisations improve how their people manage stress.

One global organisation shared:

“Katherine expertly navigated various stress-management tools and techniques, providing clarity on how humans experience stress along with practical, actionable advice.”

Following her masterclass, attendees were already applying the strategies in both their professional and personal lives.

For Katherine, success means seeing people leave feeling lighter, calmer, and more empowered—with practical tools they can rely on in real-world situations.

As she says,

“When people reconnect with calm and clarity, even briefly, it ripples outward to their families, workplaces, and communities.”

The journey so far

On hard days it’s the transformations that keeps her motivated. She recalls one moment clearly: after supporting a woman in crisis for just an hour, the client looked up, smiled and said

“I feel human again”

Over seven years MindLight has grown through authentic connection, collaboration and community partnerships. Katherine has delivered programs for the NSW Government’s Small Business Month, community events including The Pawsitive Steps Festival, and most recently, Mindfulness Workshops for The Women’s Shed – Hills Shire.

Looking after business

The most powerful way MindLight has grown is through storytelling, collaboration, and showing up with heart. Word of mouth referrals from corporate and community clients continues to be Mindlight’s strongest driver of growth.

Her advice to small business owners

“Start with purpose, stay flexible, and don’t be afraid of the messy middle — that’s where the learning happens.”

Katherine credits the programs offered by the Hills Shire Council with helping her refine her outreach strategy, and her partnership with NSW Small Business Month partnership lifting MindLight’s visibility across the region.

Doing Business in The Hills – looking ahead

Katherine chose the Hills because, in her words

“The Hills is a place where business meets heart.”

She sees it is as a region which thrives on connection, collaboration, and community care, all values at the core of her work.

Looking forwards, her focus is on expanding workplace wellbeing programs and keynote speeches, spreading her mission to help The Hills shine even brighter, one mindful moment at a time.
