Smalls Creek Shared Pathway Bridge

Council is constructing a new cycleway bridge over Smalls Creek from Farmer Circuit, Beaumont Hills, to Curtis Road, North Kellyville.

This project will improve pedestrian safety and connectivity for residents, along with promoting a healthy and active lifestyle.

The project will include the following:

Clearing of vegetation and weeds. Any tree removal, vegetation clearance and hollow section relocation would be done under the supervision of a qualified ecologist, so trees are checked for habitat before removing and appropriately relocated.
Construction of concrete foundations.
Construction of a new 38m long by 2.5m wide cycleway bridge over Smalls Creek and all associated civil works around the approaches at each end of the new bridge.
Installation of new Fibre Reinforced Plastic (FRP) decking & balustrades.
Construction of approx. 160m of cycleway path to connect the bridge to the existing cycleway network on the northern side of Curtis Rd between Dempsey Cres and Myles Cres.
Associated landscaping.

Works occur between the hours of 7am to 5pm Monday - Saturday.

Some inconvenience may be experienced during the work and your patience is greatly appreciated.
The work will involve some use of noisy machinery and we will make every effort to minimise noise and disruption.
Most construction activity will be contained to the creek corridor although traffic control and pedestrian diversions will be implemented throughout the project.
Increased vehicle movements to and from the site will likely be experienced during the construction period.
