About

Starting from Middleton Avenue Castle Hill, The Cockayne Reserve project is an integral component of the Cattai Creek Corridor Master Plan.

This corridor will eventually create a pedestrian link from Middleton Ave to Hills Showground Metro Station.

The construction of additional facilities in Cockayne Reserve is due to commence in May 2024.

The project includes:

  • Construction of two - Pedestrian Bridges
  • Construction of two local Playgrounds
  • Construction of approx. 2km of concrete shareway
  • Seating areas
  • Associated landscaping

Site work will be carried out between 7am to 5pm, Monday – Saturday (no work on Sundays or public holidays). Equipment may be delivered to the worksite and parked on site during the night or early hours of the morning as road and transport laws restrict over-sized vehicles using the public road network during the day.

The Reserve will remain Closed during the construction period.

Proudly funded by the NSW Government in association with The Hills Shire Council.
