NAIDOC Week 2026: Yarn at The Farm

Celebrate First Nations culture during NAIDOC Week these school holidays!

Hills Shire residents are invited to have a Yarn at The Farm as part of Council’s NAIDOC Week celebrations from 10am – 2pm on Thursday 9 July at Bella Vista Farm. This event celebrates the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and provides an opportunity for community connection, learning and respect.

Council has partnered with local First Nations enterprise Muru Mittigar to celebrate Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture with storytelling and performances, free arts and crafts, dance workshops, sporting activations, market stalls, and First Nations inspired food.

This NAIDOC Week Activity is delivered with funding support from the National Indigenous Australians Agency.

11:45am	Cheeky Little Emus – interactive cultural musical experience

Free water stations onsite, bring your own reusable water bottle

Free food giveaway from Wilka Thalta Food Truck, select from the Indigi-Sweets menu. Vouchers available for the first 400 families through the entry gate.
