Parks & Recreation Directory

The Hills Shire has over 300 parks and reserves in both urban and rural environments. Excellent barbecue areas, children's playgrounds, bushland walking trails, beautiful formal gardens and wide-open spaces are perfect for social or formal events or to simply take time out and relax.

There will be times when Council will close or restrict access to its Parks and Reserves. Closures may happen at short notice for any of the following reasons:

  • Bushfire, storm damage, flooding, wet weather
  • Catastrophic fire danger days
  • Hazard reduction burning
  • Maintenance works
  • Pest control activities

Please observe any closures that are in place.

Please note: BBQ and picnic areas cannot be booked or reserved and are available on a first-come first-served basis.

  • If you have an improvement suggestion for one of our parks or reserves let us know here.
  • Sportsground Closure information during wet weather or maintenance periods can be found here.
