Are you new to business, or thinking of starting a small business? Give your business the best start!

Good record keeping is important even before your first transaction occurs. It can save you time and helps you to claim all the deductions to which you’re entitled.

Come along to this FREE 2 hour introductory workshop delivered by Australian Taxation Office (ATO) staff.

There is a separate workshop for GST registered businesses. You’re welcome to register for this session if you are thinking of registering for GST in the future.

You'll learn:

  • why good record keeping is important
  • what records to keep and for how long
  • tips for retaining good records
  • where to get help and support.

We’ll show you an example that demonstrates:

  • typical transactions,
  • how to deal with cash receipts and payments, and
  • how to report amounts in the activity statement.

You will be shown online tools for reporting and resources that can help you.

This is your opportunity to ask the ATO your burning questions.

Please bring a pen and calculator.

FREE parking is available underground on B2.
