COMPUTER PALS FOR SENIORS – THE HILLS Inc. is offering seniors assistance via several courses, with computers, Smart Phones, iPads, Home Entertainment, etc.

Club rooms with ample free parking, are in The Old Caretakers Cottage ,Castle Hill Showground, opposite the Harvey Lowe Pavilion.

Computer Pals is a not for profit Computer Club, manned entirely by around 80 volunteers, many of whom are Trainers. One of the largest Clubs of its type in Australia, the Hills club - affiliated with A.S.C.C.A - Australian Seniors Computer Clubs Association, Sydney – it numbers around 400 members annually, continuously supporting seniors aged 50 and over, re today’s challenging world of digital technology.

Classes are conducted weekdays only, many being one student - one trainer, with many trainers IT skilled from past employment. Offering a wide variety of around 28 courses and workshops, fees are extremely affordable, based simply on covering overheads.

Ten general monthly meetings a year also occur, on the second Wednesday of the month between 10am and 12 noon, at the Harvey Lowe Pavilion (excluding Jan & Dec.), where members and friends are welcome and entry is free, including morning tea a guest speaker of interest, plus the opportunity to win a certificate for a free course of their choice.

Many awards for the club’s services to the community have been granted, the latest being 2018 Australia Day Award from the Hills Shire Council “Community Group of the Year”. The Hill’s club is also a member of ‘Be Connected’, an Australian Government initiative, committed to increasing the confidence, skills and online safety of older Australians, and the absolute aim of Computer Pals for Seniors.

The club encourages members and friends, whenever visiting the clubrooms, to relax and enjoy a coffee or tea, to mingle and chat with other members, and to join other social occasions.

The club would like to take this opportunity to cordially invite those interested to make an appointment to visit the clubrooms on Tuesday March 31, to observe activities, enjoy refreshments, and if interested, enquire about membership. All free with absolutely no obligation
