Helping Learner Drivers become Safer Drivers

These workshops are RMS (Roads & Maritime) funded and produced. They are run by the Road Safety Officer for The Hills Shire Council. The free two-hour workshop is designed for those who supervise learner drivers.

The workshop aims to better equip supervisors of young drivers to assist their Learner Driver to gain the 120 hours of logbook driving required for the logbook of the Graduated Licensing Scheme.

Further information about the Graduated Licensing Scheme can be found on the RMS website

The workshops provide practical advice about the role of the supervising driver, the importance of on-road driving experience and how this can be obtained.

It has been found that if a learner driver is provided with a variety of driving experiences as a learner driver they are less likely to be involved in a road crash when they first gain their license.

Bookings are Essential
