Report a Missed Bin Collection Online

Step 1.Create or log in to your Cleanaway account

Missed bin collections are managed by our waste collection contractor, Cleanaway. To report a missed bin collection, you will need to log in to the Cleanaway portal.

Please note: Internet Explorer is no longer a supported browser and will be unable to load the booking portal. Please use a different browser.

Step 2.Search for your property address

Then select 'Book Now'. You can also view any previous bookings you have made through the Cleanaway portal by selecting 'Booking history'.

Step 3.Select 'Report a missed bin'

Read the terms and conditions, then to continue with your request, select 'I agree'. 

Please note: If today if your collection day and it is prior to 5:00pm, please call the Waste Hotline on 1800 623 895 to continue your booking over the phone.

If it is after 5:00pm, you will need to continue your booking through the Cleanaway portal.

Step 4.Select the bin type of the missed bin

Select the bin type of your missed bin - garbage (red), recycling (yellow) or garden organics (green).

Step 5.Provide a comment

Please include any further details that will assist the driver to complete the service, such as instructions on how to find your property. After you have provided your comment, select 'Next'.

Step 6.Provide contact details

Please enter your full name, mobile number and email address in case Cleanaway needs to contact you about the booking. Then read the terms and conditions and select the checkbox.

Step 7.Select 'Submit'

Once you select 'Submit', your booking will be finalised. To make any changes or to cancel your booking, call the Waste Hotline on 1800 623 895.

Step 8.After making your booking

Once your booking has been finalised, collection will typically occur in the next working day, though in some circumstances up to two working days are needed.

Your missed bin/s must be left continuously out on the kerbside until the requested service has occurred.

Step 1.Call the Waste Hotline

If you would like to lodge a damaged bin request over the phone, call the Waste Hotline on 1800 623 895, Monday to Friday, 8am - 5pm. 

Step 2.After making your booking

Once your booking has been finalised, collection will typically occur in the next working day, though in some circumstances up to two working days are needed.

Your missed bin/s must be left continuously out on the kerbside until the requested service has occurred.
