The following policy seeks to:

Balance the rights of property owners and the rights of others to enjoy their own property free from external impacts of nuisance
To ensure that animals kept on residential land are of an appropriate kind, in appropriate numbers and maintained in satisfactory conditions so as to not result in unhealthy or unsafe conditions and,
Do not cause a nuisance to others.
