Small Item Recycling Points

Council has a FREE recycling program for CDs, DVDs, VHS Tapes, Mobile Phones and Batteries available to residents of The Hills Shire.

CD, DVD and VHS Tapes

The CDs, DVDs, VHS and Cassette Tapes are collected and rendered unreadable, and then recycled into new products. Please help us keep CDs, DVDs, VHS and Cassette tapes out of landfill by taking them to a collection point.

Please note:

  • Large household quantities (max. 100 items) are requested to be dropped to The Hills Shire Council Administration Centre at 3 Columbia Court, Norwest
  • Where possible, it is requested that large household quantities are dropped off before 1pm to assist us with transferring items to our storage location on the same day
  • Loose items will not be accepted. Items must be bagged or boxed so items can be transferred and stored appropriately before collection
  • Items are only accepted for drop-off during regular opening hours of the chosen collection point.

Mobile Phones

Please help us keep mobile phones out of landfill by taking them to one of Council’s collection points listed below during their operating hours.
