Barry Road Reserve Playground, in North Kellyville, is officially open – just in time for the Easter break.
The new open space facility includes a children’s play unit with slide, climbing ropes, seesaw, a bespoke shade structure, seating and bubbler.
Mayor of The Hills Shire, Dr Michelle Byrne said it’s a wonderful new facility that will provide residents of North Kellyville and the wider Hills community with a place to relax, unwind and enjoy time with their family and friends.
“The park has been designed to have a naturalistic feel about it and showcases the great beauty of the natural environment,” Mayor Byrne said.
“Shade sails have been a top park request and I’m happy to announce that Barry Road Reserve Playground has a sail located over the picnic area.
“The play equipment is great for children of most ages and will keep them active and happy during your time at the new Hills park.
“I’ll definitely be visiting Barry Road Reserve Playground with my daughters Maddison and Alexis and I hope to see you there.”
The playground works are part of a bigger Council project for the site, which will see a detention basin built and more landscapes works being completed at the Reserve in the near future.
