Fireworks, food trucks, entertainment, and activities - Australia Day at The Farm 2023 is set to be the best one yet!

Council has planned six zones that you can explore as part of this year’s Australia Day event at Bella Vista Farm on Thursday, January 26.

Mayor of The Hills Shire Council, Dr Peter Gangemi said that this much-loved community event will have something to keep the whole family entertained.

“There will be endless entertainment, and lots of delicious food to satisfy your sweet and savoury cravings” Mayor Gangemi said.

"We have a range of different zones that will provide something for everyone,” Mayor Gangemi added.

The first zone is ‘The Local’ which features the Community Stage. Residents can see local cultural performances, dance groups, as well as our talented musicians and singers as they showcase their skills.

Zone two, ‘The Playground’ will have face painting, garden games, and amusement rides, which will provide plenty of fun and keep the little ones busy.

At zone three, ‘The Homestead’, you will find The Friends of Bella Vista Farm who will be serving their much-loved Devonshire Tea, as well as the Historical Society, who can teach you historical facts you did not know about The Hills.

Within zone four, ‘The Backyard’, Tiny Tots Tumbletown can be found – this will be an incredible, fun soft play place. The library caddy will be present for a special storytime and there's also the community nursery, where you can grab your FREE native plant. Muru Mittigar will also be featured, teaching basket weaving and holding a dance workshop.

Zone five, ‘The Tuckerbox’, is the place to be for all the foodies. There you will find an array of food trucks including Sydney Ice Cream, Muchos Nachos and Chips on a Stick, Dos Churros, Hills Daily Grind, Dippin Dots, You Pizza, Crestwood Lions, Lambda Souvia Grill, OMG Donuts, Camelot Amusements Snow Cones & Fairy Floss, Austra Lanka Muslim - Sri Lankan Treats, Mrs Wang's Dumplings, Emmy's Gozleme, Social Tea Station and Burger Room.

Zone six is where you will find our frontline workers and emergency services. These include the Rural Fire Service (RFS), State Emergency Services (SES), Hills LAC Police, and Hills Community Aid (HCA), as well as Aussie the Kangaroo who will be ready and waiting to snap a selfie.

In addition to the zones, Aussie music legend Kate Ceberano, the Bluey Live Interactive Experience, Dauntless Movement Crew and covers band Jellybean Jam will join Australia Day revellers at the main stage. The night will then end with a spectacular fireworks display.
