Playground makeover for James Greenwood Reserve
Published on 03 July 2019
James Greenwood Reserve has been given a makeover – just in time for the July school holidays.
Mayor of The Hills Shire, Dr Michelle Byrne said Council invested $70,000 into the much-loved facility, which aims to foster creative play, as well as be dynamic and physically challenging for park users.
“The Hills Shire prides itself on being a family-friendly region, which is why Council is investing in our parks and playgrounds,” Mayor Byrne said.
“We want to provide high-quality facilities that can be enjoyed by children and their families for years to come.
“James Greenwood Reserve caters to this perfectly with modern play equipment that is fun, and ignites discovery and play,” Mayor Byrne added.
New additions to the pocket park include a play unit, stainless steel tube slide, swing set with an additional basket swing and synthetic grass.
Nature play stepping logs have also been installed as part of works.
