On behalf of The Hills Shire Council I would like to wish you all a very happy Easter and a safe holiday.
Easter is the perfect time to take a well-deserve break, recharge and enjoy quality time with family and friends.
It is also a special time to celebrate the things we are most thankful for.
Today, I had the opportunity to attend an Easter Hat Parade with my daughters Alexis and Maddison at Ellerman Child Care Centre in Dural.
Together we made Easer themed hats, we got to see the Easter Bunny and enjoyed delicious hot cross buns and of course – chocolate Easter eggs.
A good time was had by all, especially the young kids, who couldn’t wipe the smiles off their faces as they gave the Easter Bunny a big hug and dug into their chocolate eggs.
If you are going away, please take extra care on our roads, which are busy at this time of year.
Have a fantastic Easter and I’ll see you back after the break.
Mayor of The Hills Shire,
Dr Michelle Byrne
