The renovated Lewis Jones Drive Reserve in Kellyville has opened to the public following an extensive upgrade of the park’s playground facilities.

Mayor of The Hills Shire, Dr Michelle Byrne visited the local park with her three-year-old daughters, Alexis and Maddison, recently.

Mayor Byrne said the new park addition added to Kellyville’s extensive park network.

“Lewis Jones Drive Reserve has been redesigned for fun and adventure,” Mayor Byrne said.

“There’s a playground, a table tennis table, pedestrian paths and a large kick-about space.

“We’ve made sure there is plenty of seating and a picnic shelter where park goers can enjoy a picnic or take a break from play.

“The existing trees provide shade, while new vegetation has been planted to complement the play area.

“Overall, the renovated playground ticks all the boxes for families and I encourage residents to check out the new playground addition,” Mayor Byrne added.
