Mayor of The Hills Shire Council, Dr Michelle Byrne is encouraging residents to have their say on the future of libraries in The Hills Shire.

Council has put together a quick and easy survey to find out how local libraries are currently used and how the community would like to see libraries develop in the future.

“Our libraries are so special to so many people – they provide a safe space for many and act as a social and educational hub for the community,” Mayor Byrne said.

“The Hills is such an engaged population, especially when it comes to public facilities such as libraries, so of course, we want your input.

“We have already had over 2000 submissions which is a fantastic result and I encourage everyone to get involved if you haven’t already,” Mayor Byrne added.

The survey is available on The Hills Shire Council’s Library website (www.thehills.nsw.gov.au/Library).

Submissions close on Friday, December 13.
