A message from Mayor of the Hills Shire, Councillor Yvonne Keane

Farewell and good luck Monsignor John Boyle

After more than 10 years serving the Castle Hill community, Monsignor John Boyle is heading off on an excellent adventure to Rome.

John has been seconded to the Sydney Diocese, and from there has been appointed as the Rector of Domus Australia in Rome.

Apart from being a wonderfully restored heritage Italian building in the heart of Rome, the Domus is a haven for those making holy pilgrimages, and welcomes people of all nationalities and faiths.

I’m sure John will meet many people from many parts of the world, and will play a part in helping them on their journey.

John leaves our shores on April 17 for a two-year appointment, and I would like to take this opportunity to say: ‘thank you’ John for all you have done for Council - and you have our very best wishes for your exciting new role.

You and your wonderful words of wisdom will be missed in Council.

Farewell and good luck.
