Castle Hill Library, along with the Pioneer Theatre and Community Centre will close for a period of two months to make way for upgrades.

“As part of The Hills Shire Council’s commitment to keeping its libraries and community facilities fresh, modern and user-friendly, we are giving the Pennant Street building a boost,” Mayor of The Hills Shire, Dr Michelle Byrne said

“I’m excited to announce that Castle Hill Library, the Pioneer Theatre and the Community Centre will be getting a new lift. We are also recarpeting, sanding and resealing the hard floors inside Castle Hill Library, as well as painting and refurbishing the customer service area.

“The library, theatre and community centre are enjoyed by many, and I know that once these upgrades are complete, they will be even better,” Mayor Byrne added.

In order for construction activities to take place, and to also ensure the safety of visitors and library members, as well as staff, Castle Hill Library, the Community Centre and Pioneer Theatre will close temporarily from Monday, February 15 and re-open on Tuesday, April 20.

“I thank residents in advance for their co-operation throughout this time,” Mayor Byrne added.

Online library services will continue as usual, as will all other Hills Shire library branches.
