Draft Knock Down Re-Build Landscape Contribution Scheme
Submissions Close 05 February 2015
Council at its meeting on 25 November 2014, resolved to place the Knock-Down Rebuild Program on public exhibition for a period of 28 days.
The key objectives of the Knock-Down Rebuild Program (Landscape Contribution Scheme) are;
- To maintain quality single detached dwelling stock in the established areas of the Shire.
- To consider ways that established residential areas of the Shire can be renewed.
- To preserve the character of established suburbs.
- To identify potential impediments to the Knock-Down and Rebuild process.
The program seeks to provide a landscape contribution of up to $2,000 to property owners undertaking the Knock-Down and Rebuild of single detached dwellings or significant alterations and additions within the existing R2 low density residential areas of the Shire subject to meeting certain criteria as outlined in the Draft Knock-Down Rebuild Landscape Contribution Scheme.
It is proposed that the Program will provide a maximum of $500,000, be reviewed within 12 months (November 2015) and, subject to a satisfactory review, conclude on 30 June 2017.
