Draft amendments to The Hills Development Control Plan 2012 relating to the Castle Hill North Precinct are on exhibition until 9 November 2020.
The amendments will ensure that Council’s DCP aligns with the planning outcomes and controls finalised by the Department of Planning, Industry and Environment on 17 July 2020, as part of the Castle Hill North Planning Proposal. The amendments primarily reflect revised parking rates applied by the Department as well the extended application of the R4 High Density Residential zone to certain properties fronting Larool Crescent.
The amendments do not seek to reconsider or revisit any of the precinct planning, land use, density or built form outcomes that were recently implemented as part of the Castle Hill North Planning Proposal. The proposed amendments are necessary simply to reflect the changes made the Department of Planning, Industry and Environment at the time of finalising the Planning Proposal.
