The Hills area is one of Sydney’s key strategic growth areas as a part of the Northwest Metro Corridor. As the population grows, the Hills Shire Council is committed to providing accessible open space for the enjoyment of the community.

For the latest information on this project including final masterplan documents please visit the Cattai Creek Corridor Project - Castle Hill page.

The Cattai Creek Corridor between Middleton Avenue and Showground Road in Castle Hill is an underutilised space and the Hills Shire Council is planning to transform a section of Creek into a beautiful and enjoyable open space for the community.

The Hills Shire Council has developed a Preliminary Concept Master Plan to show their vision for the Creek. The vision is to connect the community with the creek and deliver environmental, social and recreational needs of the community. This will include areas for:

  • recreational activities such walking and running
  • enjoying the natural environment of the Creek
  • play spaces
  • picnic and rest areas
  • shared pathways.

The project will also improve access to the Cattai Creek Corridor while protecting the natural environment that makes the Creek so special. The aim is to also create a link between the Creek and the Castle Hill Showground as well as existing open spaces in the area.

We want to hear your feedback, ideas and aspirations for the Creek. Your insights will help guide the development of the Master Plan and contribute to a healthy and beautiful space for the whole Hills Shire Council community to enjoy.

To provide your feedback and insights, fill in the submission form below.

This project is proudly funded by the NSW Government under the Precinct Support Scheme in association with the Hills Shire Council.
