Parking Rules & School Road Safety

Road safety information is available to schools. These can be packaged for new families at the start of the school year.

Information included is from the RMS and provides information about:

• safe school parking
• bus safety
• crossing roads safely with primary school aged children

Council's Compliance Officers have a timetable of parking enforcement at schools and road safety newsletter inserts.

Providing educational information can assist in making the roads around schools safer for children.

Many parking offences in school zones carry heavier fines and loss of demerit points.
