Known as the Cattai Creek Corridor stretching from Middleton Avenue through to Carrington Road and onto Showground Road in Castle Hill, this under-utilised space will be transformed by The Hills Shire Council into a beautiful and enjoyable open space for the community with new pathways, seating and connections for pedestrians and cyclists.
The project will also see valuable ecological areas protected and the Cattai Creekline rehabilitated. It will also compliment the redevelopment of the Castle Hill Showground and provide residents with another option to access the Showground Metro Station.
This project is funded by the NSW Government under the Precinct Support Scheme in association with the Hills Shire Council.
History
Community feedback and ideas for the Creek were supplied via community consultation (April-May 2021) which helped guide the development of the Master Plan and Report.
