Each year, Council allocates funds as part of its Operational Plan to renew or repair our roads. These projects renew and improve our existing road assets to ensure our road network is safe and meets the needs of our community.
This page will be updated weekly to provide up-to-date information on the scheduled asphalt re-sheeting, road resealing, and road patching programs being delivered throughout the year. Please note that the start and finish dates may change subject to weather.
For works in your street, you will receive a notification from the Contractor undertaking the work at least three days prior to works commencing.
Works will occur between the hours of 7am – 5pm Monday to Friday or 8am – 1pm Saturday, unless notified otherwise by the Contractor in your letterbox.
Nightworks (N/W): Projects planned as nightworks will occur between 8pm and 5am, unless notified otherwise by the Contractor in your letterbox. This may be required at some locations to minimise the impact of the work on the community due to factors such as high traffic volumes, proximity to signalised intersections or public locations such as schools.

Road re-sheeting: is the removal (milling) of the existing road surface (30-50mm) and replacement with a new hot mix asphalt surface layer. Re-sheeting may also be done as an overlay, where the existing asphalt is retained and new hot mix asphalt is placed on top.
Road patching: is the removal (milling) of the existing road surface and underlying layers (>50mm) and replacement with a new hot mix asphalt base and surface layer. Can be undertaken in small isolated patches or in large areas as required.
Road rehabilitation: is similar to road patching over larger areas including entire streets. It includes the removal (milling) of the existing road surface and underlying layers (>50mm) and replacement with a new hot mix asphalt base and surface layer.
Road resealing: is the overlaying of a new spray seal surface over the existing spray seal surface, commonly used on rural roads. The surface is more gravelly than hot mix asphalt and will usually have loose stones after application which are swept after a week or two.
