Draft External Combustible Cladding Policy

Council at its meeting of 9 July 2019, resolved to place the Draft External Combustible Cladding Policy on public exhibition for a period of 28 days.

The purpose of the draft External Combustible Cladding policy is to develop an inspection program to identify all relevant buildings, specify the criteria which will be considered when determining an appropriate course of action and develop an appropriate safety benchmark which must be achieved where rectification works are required.

The draft External Combustible Cladding policy has been developed to ensure a consistent, reasonable and transparent approach is adopted when assessing buildings with external combustible cladding.

Copies of The Hills Shire Council’s External Combustible Cladding policy is available to view on this page as well as at the following locations:

  • Council’s Customer Service Centre: 3 Columbia Court, Baulkham Hills, between the hours of Monday to Friday 8.30am-4.30pm
  • Castle Hill Library: Cnr of Castle and Pennant Streets, Castle Hill between the hours of: Monday - Friday: 10am - 8pm; Saturday: 10am - 5pm; Sunday 1pm - 5pm
  • Vinegar Hill Memorial Library: 29 Main Street, Rouse Hill between the hours of Monday – Wednesday & Friday: 10am to 6pm; Thursday: 10am-9pm; Saturday: 10am to 5pm; Sunday: 1pm-5pm.
