Amended Draft Local Approvals Policy

Council at its meeting of 12 June 2018, resolved to place the Draft Local Approvals Policy on public exhibition for a period of 28 days.

The Local Approvals Policy seeks to provide exemption and approval criteria for:

• Placing waste storage containers in a public place (skip bins);
• Installing or altering a waste treatment device or a human waste storage facility (on-site sewage management systems);
• Using a standing vehicle or any article for the purpose of selling any article in a public place (mobile food vans and temporary food stalls); or
• Installing a domestic oil or solid fuel heating appliance (wood fire heaters).

The draft Local Approvals Policy is available for inspection at the following locations:

• Castle Hill Library Cnr of Castle and Pennant Streets, Castle Hill (Monday - Friday: 10am -8pm; Saturday: 10am -5pm; Sunday: 1pm -5pm)
• Vinegar Hill Memorial Library 29 Main Street, Rouse Hill (Monday - Wednesday, Friday: 10am - 6pm; Thursday: 10am - 9pm; Saturday: 10am - 5pm; Sunday: 1pm - 5pm)
