Exhibition of Draft Amendments to Contributions Plan No.6 – Extractive Industries (FP44)

Council resolved in part at its Ordinary Meeting on 12 June 2018 to publicly exhibit draft amendments to Contributions Plan No.6 – Extractive Industries (‘CP6’).  The existing Plan enables Council to levy extractive industry operators within The Shire for the cost of maintenance, repair and reconstruction of roads as a result of damage caused by trucks associated with the haulage of extracted or processed materials.

As part of the periodical review and monitoring of the Contributions Plan by Council, it is proposed that the Plan be amended to:

• Include the Roads and Maritime Services updated five (5) year works program and revise the associated works map;

   

• Update all relevant references within the Plan to sections and clauses within the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979 to reflect the new numbering system implemented by the NSW Government in March 2018;

   

• Update the contribution rate within the Plan to reflect the rate applicable for the current financial year in line with the Sydney Consumer Price Index.
