Draft Plan of Management – Arthur Whitling Park, Castle Hill

Submissions Close 23 December 2019

Council at its meeting on 12 November 2019 resolved to place on Public Exhibition the Draft Plan of Management for Arthur Whitling Park.

The park was originally Crown Land in Council’s care and control for the purpose of public recreation until it was resumed by Transport NSW (now Sydney Metro) in 2012 to facilitate the construction of the Sydney Metro Northwest and Castle Hill station.

Upon completion of the Metro a significant portion of the area above the new underground station has been returned to the community by means of a 99 year lease to Council from Sydney Metro. The lease agreement requires Council to prepare a specific Plan of Management for the leased area and to provide Sydney Metro with an opportunity to comment on the plan.

A Draft Plan of Management has been prepared and Sydney Metro has made comment. The Draft Plan of Management for Arthur Whitling Park is now on exhibition and available for inspectionon this page and at the Customer Service Centre of Council’s Administration Complex at 3 Columbia Court, Norwest (Monday – Friday 8:30am – 4:30pm).
