Skate Parks


The Hills Shire has a diverse range of skate facilities suitable for skaters of all levels:

Name: Ambelside

Address: Ambelside Drive, Castle Hill

Location & Access:

   1. Set in residential back street
   2. Approximately 300 metres walk to bus on Old Northern Road
   3. Bus routes - 600, 610, 612

Name: Balcombe Heights Reserve (Masonic)

Address: Seven Hills Road, Baulkham Hills

Location & Access:

  1. In large open area across the road from Jasper Road Primary School
  2. Bus routes - 604, 630 

 

The Skate Park: 

  • Largest skate park in the Shire 
  • Free skating area with modules, fun boxes, grind rails and pre-cast quarter pipes 
  • Suitable for more advanced skaters

 

Balcombe Heights Reserve (Masonic) 


Name: Castle Glen Reserve

Address: Ridgecrop Drive, Castle Glen

Location & Access:

  1. Situated in a larger park near the Castle Glen Childcare Centre 
  2. Bus routes - 636, 606, 610

 

The Skate Park:

  • Shallow snake pit in a larger park, suitable for beginners

Name: Crestwood Reserve Snake Pit

Address: Chapel Lane, Crestwood

Location & Access:

  1. Further down Chapel Lane to the side of the park 
  2. Bus routes - 636, 606, 610

 

The Skate Park:

  • Suitable park for beginners to average skaters
  • Pre-cast quarter pipes, with a fun box and grind rails

Name: John Wearn Reserve Snake Pit

Address: Farnell Avenue North Rocks

Location & Access

  1. Set in a small reserve surrounded by residential housing and child care centre
  2. Bus routes - 629, 623, 630

  • Shallow snake pit suitable for beginners
