Sydney Hills on course to improve business in 2010

19 Jan 2010

Businesses located in the Sydney Hills get some of the best support and advice available as part of The Hills Shire Council’s Business Sydney Hills Program.

Businesses can access a great range of courses and workshops in 2010 to help improve business success and further educate business leaders on current trends and strategies.

Mayor of The Hills Shire, Councillor Peter Dimbrowsky, said that it was one of Council’s highest priorities to help assist businesses to develop and grow.

“At Council we want to let people know that we support business and will do whatever it takes to help small, medium and large businesses to develop and grow.

“The Hills Shire needs to generate thousands of jobs in the next 20 years to cope with expected population growth and it has been shown that 80% of these jobs will come from existing businesses.

“Business workshops and courses are a vital way to assist business to keep up with business trends and stay ahead in a competitive environment,” he said.

In 2009, almost 3000 participants attended a business course and workshop in the Sydney Hills. This year more workshops – up to 8 a month – and a wider range of courses have been added for all types of businesses.

Learn the 7 key strategies to grow your business, how to grow a profitable and sustainable business or how to grow your business with strong acquisitions.

Mayor Dimbrowsky is encouraging businesses of all shapes and sizes to attend.

“Best of all, most courses are free or have a nominal charge and are held at convenient times such as early morning or after hours so all business owners can attend. I encourage you to use these courses to improve your business in 2010.”
