Bruce Purser Reserve

Cnr Commerical and Withers Road, Rouse Hill

Swans Game at Bruce PurserBruce Purser Reserve is a major sporting complex that is home to local sporting groups including the East Coast Eagles and the Kellyville Rouse Hill Magpies.

By 2010 it is expected the grounds will support 370 AFL club players and 1,000 school AFL players.

In addition to the extensive club football training and match day program, AFL (NSW/ACT) will utilise the venue for primary and secondary school competitions, Auskick programs, talented player squads, women’s football, senior and junior finals, clinics and events such as AFL Community Camps.

Cricket will be the other co-tenant, occupying the facility for six months during the summer season.

Bruce Purser Reserve is named after the first Shire President.

The $6.9 million facility made history when it was officially opened by Mayor of The Hills Shire, Councillor Larry Bolitho, on Saturday 7 March, 2009.

The official opening took place during halftime at the first ever game by the Sydney Swans in north-west Sydney.
