Proposed Public Streetscape Upgrade - Oatlands Commercial Centre

 

Council has allocated funding from its 2012 Capital Works Program to undertake an upgrade of the public domain at Oatlands Commercial Centre, Belmore Street, Oatlands.

The proposed improvements include removing the existing concrete pavement which is in poor condition, installation of new granite paving with brick borders, installation of new seating and localised repair of the existing kerb and gutter. As part of the streetscape fronting the shops on the east side of the street is on private property, the upgrade will finish at the boundary of the Council land.

 

CONSTRUCTION

The works are proposed to commence in April 2012 and are to be completed by July 2012. Some disruption will be inevitable during this period, however, Council will maintain access to shops at all times and minimise inconvenience to traders whenever possible.
