The Hills Youth Committee

• Facilitating active participation of young people and empowering them to be important and respected members of our community, actively contributing to a creating a rich culture in the Hills Shire

• The positive promotion of young people’s ideas.

• Informing the Hills Shire Council of the issue confronting young people within the Hills Shire.

• Actively involving other young people in youth engagement strategies.

• Strengthening youth capacity through building up skills in leadership, public speaking, consultation and advocacy. 

They will be working on key projects throughout the year and assisting plan and run events such as Youth Week (April each year), Band Nights and the Annual Hills Youth Forum.
