Hairdressing Premises

All hairdressing premises within the Shire are required to be registered with Council. Upon registration, premises are inspected to ensure compliance with the standards required by the Local Government (General) Regulation 2005.

The registration fee for the 2010/2011 Financial year is $143.30.

Beauty Salons and Skin Penetration Premises

All beauty salons and skin penetration premises (such as acupuncture, tattooing, body piercing and waxing/hair removal) within the Shire are required to be registered with Council and are routinely inspected to ensure compliance with the Public Health Act 1991, Public Health (Skin Penetration) Regulation 2000, Skin Penetration Code of Best Practice and the NSW Health Skin Penetration Guidelines.
