What is HYPE Central?

The Hills Youth Plan Exposed is brought to you to develop and distribute information regarding youth activities, programs and events in the Shire.

HYPE Central is a space designed for young people to socialise with their friends in a safe and secure environment. The centre targets young people aged 12-24 years who live, work, study or play in The Hills Shire.

HYPE Central is funded by The Hills Shire Council. HYPE Central is a Youth and Community space designed for young people to hang out with their friends in a safe and secure environment. The centre targets young people aged 12-24 years who live, work, study or play in The Hills Shire. The Centre aims to be an early intervention model for the Shire's young people.

This Youth Centre is staffed by Youth Workers.

What's Happening @ Castle Hill Youth Centre

HYPE Central operates as a drop in centre three days per week. Drop in activities include:

  • Table Tennis
  • Pool Table
  • Soccer Tables
  • PS2 and XBOX
  • Internet Cafe
  • HYPE Cafe
  • TV lounge areas

Drop In Hours 

Tuesdays 3.00pm - 6.00pm
Thursdays 3.00pm - 6.00pm
Fridays 3.00pm - 6.00pm

Please note that hours are subject to change especially during school holidays.


Local Band Nights 

Band Events/Nights are held once a month at HYPE Central Youth Centre (265 Old Northern Road, Castle Hill). 

Band events contain various genres and organisers try to accommodate all tastes for music.

The band events are fun and exciting for everybody. The main objective of the event is to showcase the great musical talents of the youth in the Shire area as well as providing a safe place for young people to listen to their favourite bands.
