A dividing fence is a fence that separates the lands of adjoining owners.

Resolving Disputes

Council is not involved in settling disputes regarding dividing fences, however the Department of Lands provides some options for land owners to consider. Information on issues associated with Dividing Fences can be found at the Department of Lands website.
